Casio has announced the CMK-100, a titanium automatic field watch with a Made-in-Japan movement, for U.S. release in November 2026. Here is what it is, what it costs, plus how it compares with the two Citizen field watches you can already buy on Amazon.com.
Casio Computer announced the CMK-100 in Tokyo on October 28, 2026. Casio America followed on October 29, 2026 with U.S. prices from $320 to $440 plus a November release at select retailers, gshock.casio.com and the G-SHOCK Soho Store. For a brand best known for quartz digital watches, a mechanical field watch is a notable step. We compared it on Casio’s official U.S. product pages with the Citizen BM8180-03E plus the Citizen Garrison Super Titanium, using Citizen’s official specifications and current Amazon.com listings. This is a desk comparison of published information, not a hands-on review.
Our Pick: Which Japanese Field Watch Should You Buy?
- Casio CMK-100 ($320 to $440, November 2026) if you want a mechanical movement in a titanium case with sapphire crystal at a mid-range price. It is not on sale yet, so this is a wait-for-it pick.
- Citizen Garrison Super Titanium BM8568-01L ($268.59 on Amazon) if you want titanium plus sapphire today, without winding or a battery swap. It runs on Citizen’s light-powered Eco-Drive system.
- Citizen BM8180-03E ($236.00 on Amazon) if you want the simplest, smallest option: a 37 mm stainless steel field watch with day-date that charges from any light.

Prices for the two Citizen watches were checked on Amazon.com on November 2, 2026, when both were sold by Amazon.com. On the same day we did not find a CMK-100 listing on Amazon.com with an active offer from Amazon or Casio, so we do not link one here. Prices change often, so confirm the current figure on the listing.
What Casio Announced
Casio Computer Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Tokyo. Its October 28 release presents the CMK-100 as a lightweight mechanical watch built around readability. The U.S. release from Casio America, Inc. in Jersey City, New Jersey, frames the line as a titanium automatic field watch.
- CMK100TC-1A: black nylon strap, $320 in Casio America’s release. Casio’s U.S. store page showed $330 with a Notify Me button on November 2, 2026.
- CMK100TCC-8A: grey nylon strap, $350.
- CMK100TL-1A: black Italian leather strap, $350.
- CMK100TCL-5A: brown Italian leather strap, $375.
- CMK100TD-1A: titanium bracelet, $440. Casio’s U.S. store page showed the same $440 on November 2, 2026.
- Availability: November 2026, per Casio America. No exact day was given in the release.
Because the two Casio sources differ by $10 on the entry model, treat $320 to $330 as the starting range until the watch is actually in stock.
Casio CMK-100: Specs That Matter

The case is titanium with ion plating plus a titanium carbide (TiC) coating on the bezel for abrasion resistance. Casio lists the case at 44.7 × 38 × 11.4 mm, so it is a 38 mm watch with a fairly slim profile. The crown plus case back both screw down, the crystal is sapphire, plus water resistance is 100 meters.
Weight depends on the band. Casio lists 55 g for the CMK100TC-1A on its nylon strap versus 98 g for the CMK100TD-1A on its solid titanium bracelet. Band sizes cover wrists from 145 to 215 mm.
The movement is an automatic with manual winding plus a hacking seconds hand. Casio states 21 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, a power reserve of about 42 hours plus a mean daily rate of −20 to +40 seconds. The watch is also magnetic resistant. The dial is a simple three-hand layout with date, a textured finish plus large Arabic numerals printed with several layers of luminous paint.
Who it suits: someone who wants a light, legible mechanical watch for daily wear. The −20 to +40 second daily rate is a normal range for an entry automatic, but it is far looser than a quartz or solar watch. If you take it off for two days, expect to reset it.

Citizen Garrison Super Titanium BM8568-01L ($268.59 on Amazon)

This is the closest existing match to the CMK-100 on materials. The Amazon.com listing describes a 42 mm Super Titanium case, sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance, a blue dial plus a leather strap. Citizen’s U.S. site does not list this exact reference, but it lists the green-dial BM8560-02X from the same Garrison Super Titanium line with the E101 Eco-Drive movement, sapphire crystal, WR100 plus a day-date display.
The main difference is power. Citizen says Eco-Drive is powered by any light source, so there is nothing to wind plus no battery to replace on a schedule. Because Eco-Drive is a quartz-based system, its day-to-day drift is typically much smaller than a mechanical movement’s. The trade-off is the case: at 42 mm it is 4 mm wider than the CMK-100, which matters on a smaller wrist.
Who it suits: anyone who likes the titanium-plus-sapphire idea but would rather not reset the time after a weekend off the wrist.

Citizen BM8180-03E ($236.00 on Amazon)

Citizen’s U.S. site lists this reference under the name Chandler, while Amazon.com calls it a Garrison field watch. The model number is the same: BM8180-03E. Citizen lists a 37 mm stainless steel case, mineral crystal, WR100, an 18 mm lug width, luminous hands plus markers, a day-date display plus the E101 Eco-Drive movement. Citizen’s site showed $236.00, down from $295.00, on November 2, 2026, which matched Amazon.com that day.
It gives up titanium plus sapphire, so it will be heavier for its size than a titanium case, plus mineral crystal scratches more easily. In return it is the cheapest watch here, the smallest at 37 mm, plus it needs no winding.
Who it suits: a first field watch, a gift, or a beater for travel plus yard work.

Automatic or Eco-Drive: How to Decide
The CMK-100 makes sense if the movement itself is the point. An automatic winds itself as you wear it plus has the smooth sweep of a mechanical seconds hand. You accept a looser daily rate plus a reserve of about 42 hours, so a watch you rotate will stop between wears.
The two Citizens make sense if you just want a field watch that is always right. Citizen says Eco-Drive charges from any light source, which avoids routine battery changes, plus the quartz-based timekeeping drifts far less than a mechanical movement. You give up the mechanical feel. If titanium is the main draw, the Garrison Super Titanium is the one you can buy today. If budget is the main draw, the BM8180-03E costs the least.
